I'll go slow here because I realize all of you bowtie afficionados have trouble with sentences of more than six words.So I present these tidbits: 1. When Big Bill France decided to slow down the horsepower/cubic inch wars of the early '70s Bud Moore proved that you could run a properly-tuned 351 Ford small-block very competetively at superspeedways. Now the limit for all NASCAR mills is 358CID. 2. All of motor racing owes the Wood Brothers, who have run ONLY FORD products for their entire 58 seasons in NASCAR, for their invention of the modern pit stop. Their pit stratagies were so fast that FORD asked the Woods to crew for Jimmy Clark's Lotus powered by FORD at the 1965 Indy 500. The Woods' pit crew was so fast when compared to the others of the day that Clark won the race by two full laps! 3. Ralph Moody of the famed Holman-Moody FORD-sponsored race team developed the front-steering and basic chassis set-up using the 1965 FORD galaxie as his prototype. Every car racing in NASCAR today uses Moody's formula as their template. Moody was also instrumental in developing purpose-built frames, fuel-cell technology and primitive in-car two-way radio communications. And as mentioned earlier ALL NASCAR vehicles run a FORD 9-inch rear end. Just goes to prove that FORD has always got your ass covered! I don't see any names associated with Chevrolet racing mentioned here. Calling Mr. Childress, Mr. Hendrick..... Oh that's right, they just let the FORD people do all of the real work. So if someone puts a FORD engine in one of your goddamn sainted Chevy vehicles that's just too damned bad. You guys have been raping and pillaging beautiful FORD vehicles for years with your junkyard-cheap Shitbox 283s, 327s or 350s. To which I close by saying, "How do you like it?" Heh, heh, heh!
